Memorial Day 2014

Memorial Day is a good time to reflect on the sacrifices and services of the American soldiers and veterans and the U.S. military men and women. The American military is, has always been and will always recruit the best and finest of the crop of young men and women of the country and will continue to shower them with appreciation, support and prayers. Memorial Day is just an opportunity for us to express the special places they have in the hearts of American citizens and more by honoring the people who work in the various branches of the military.

Mother's Day 2014

Dear Mother

My Mother, my friend so dear
Throughout my life you’re always near.
A tender smile to guide my way
You’re the sunshine to light my day.

Happy Arbor Day 2014

They are beautiful in their peace, they are wise in their silence.
They will stand after we are dust. They teach us, and we tend them.

Happy Easter 2014

The joyful news that He is risen does not change the contemporary world.
Still before us lie work, discipline, sacrifice. But the fact of Easter
gives us the spiritual power to do the work, accept the discipline,
and make the sacrifice.

Happy New Year 2014

It is not idleness to spend a day sometimes just lying on a carpet of
Daisies under a shady tree or walking through the woods on a bright
Summer's day; listening to the murmur of the stream as its waters
bubble down a pebbled path, listen to the chirping of the birds as they
fly around in happiness or watch the white wisps of clouds sail through
the blue skies or walk through the park with snowflakes falling gently all around.
No indeed, it is not a waste of time For if one listens carefully,
one can learn more than what the books ever teach for they
speak the voice of God. Stop, listen, feel and appreciate the beauty
around you, whether it be in the colors of a rainbow or a fluttering
hummingbird, a snow capped mountain or a weeping willow tree, all
crafted beautifully by nature. Nature adds beauty to this magical
element of life that goes beyond the questioning of logic and science.
